AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR

HAD A AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR PUT IN. MECHANIC DID NOT DISCONNECT BATTERY. CHECKED FUSES AND EVERYTHING SEEMS FINE. CAR WILL NOT START. HOW CAN I CHECK IF ITS THE FUSABLE LINK?
