Q: Air Conditioner Effects on 2006 Nissan Altima

There are times when I turn my car on and it chokes up. This tends to happen more often when I use the air conditioner. Should this be happening? What can I do about it?

Not sure what you mean by "chokes up" but this could help if it is the same issue I have experienced.

I have had two Altima's. One was a 2003 3.5 and now I have a 2006 2.5. I noticed that occasionally I would have a rough idle start when I would first start the car and I finally figured out what was causing the issue. I realized that when my car would do this was after I had started the car to move it the day before and did not let it warm up completely. This would cause condensation to build up in the engine and when I would start it the next day it would run rough and blow white smoke from the exhaust.
I always make sure to let the car warm up a little bit if I am going to start it.
