Air bag sensor, not 'control module', locations

i am trying to locate the SRS sensors on a 1997 Toyota 4Runner. I'm also wondering if these sensors normally need replacement after a collision and airbag deployment.

my advice is not to mess with these. you can deploy an airbag by attempting to service these sensors.
yes, they are required to be replaced after an accident. someone familiar with this service is the person you want to make the system reliable again. it is an expensive system to repair but it could be the difference between you living or dying in an accident.

Anybody that has been in an accident or accidently set off an air bag would not attempt to do this repair with out knowing the system well.
