On April 15, 2013, Acura recalled 204,169 Acura RDX. Honda is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 cr-v, odyssey, and model year 2013 acura rdx vehicles. during sub-freezing temperatures, the brake-shift interlock blocking mechanism may become slow and allow the gear selector to be moved from the park position without pressing the brake pedal. as such, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard 114, "theft protection and rollaway prevention."

During sub-freezing temperatures, it may be possible to move the shifter from the park position without stepping on the brake pedal.

Honda will notifying owners of affected vehicles beginning May 13, 2013. If you experience problems with the shifter, or you are not notified and feel you should have been, please contact your local dealer. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call. The Honda recall numbers are S96, S97, and S98.

Vehicle currently registered or first sold in states where corrosive materials are used to de-ice the roads are being recalled because the engine may stall without warning.

Owners of affected vehicles will be notified beginning April 11, 2013. If you encounter problems with the engine stalling, or you don't received recall notification and you feel you should have, please contact your Acura dealer. Vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission are being recalled because in some cases, the key can be removed from the ignition lock when the transmission is not in park.

Honda will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning February 7, 2013. If you are experiencing problems with the ignition lock or transmission shifter, or you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It’s helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call. The Honda /Acura recall numbers are S73 & S74.

One or both of the front doors may not properly latch in the fully closed position due to a problem with the cable connecting the inside door handle and the latch mechanism. A door that is not properly latched may open unexpectedly.

Honda will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning August 16, 2012. There may be no symptoms related to this recall. If you notice problems with a front door latch, or if you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer.
