On June 20, 2014, Acura recalled 101 Acura CL. American honda motor company, inc. (honda) is conducting a limited regional recall for certain model year 2001-2007 accord (4-cylinder), 2001-2002 accord (v6), 2001-2005 civic, 2002-2006 cr-v, 2003-2011 element, 2002-2004 odyssey, 2003-2007 pilot, 2006 ridgeline, 2003-2006 acura mdx, and 2002-2003 tl/cl vehicles originally sold, or ever registered in alabama, florida, georgia, hawaii, louisiana, mississippi, south carolina, texas, puerto rico and the u.s. virgin islands, and equipped with takata-brand air bag inflators. upon deployment of the driver side frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture.

Certain vehicles are being recalled because the driver and/or passenger airbag inflator may rupture upon deployment. Vehicle occupants could be struck by metal fragments resulting in personal injury.

As of this writing Honda has not yet announced a notification schedule for this recall. If you don't receive notification in a timely manner and believe you should have, please contact your dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call.
