AC/heat vent door on a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500

(1998 Dodge Ram 1500)
The AC vent door shuts and goes to heat at times when I break (harder than normal) and the AC turns to heat. I can turn the AC off for a moment turn it back on and AC works again. I can hear the door shut when I have to break harder than normal. Is this a bad vac-um or a bad door? What are your thoughts? Only when I have to break harder then normal.
What seems to make the problem better or worse? When I have to break harder than normal, turn off AC briefly turn AC back on and AC works normally.
How long have you had this problem? less than a week

Blend doors do have vacuum operated components -- so it would make sense that vacuum operated power brake booster engagement could negatively affect the operation of the climate control system if there is a problem with a component. Testing is required to find out if you have a vacuum leak or motor issue.
