Appears to be the Acceleration Position Switch. Autozone Pt #TPS4161.
I will get it replaced tomorrow and see if that takes care of it.
I have not yet taken it into the dealer, because there are other problems with my Amanti. Such as Air Bag light is on (have not been in accident). Whistling noise/sound coming from (sound like) under the engine and louder on the passenger side.
My car only has 53,700 miles on it and I am the original owner..... not sure what to do because when I take it into the dealer for regular oil changes they can't even fix the dang head lights! I have had it in for the headlights several times.
The dealer had the mechanic clean the switch contacts and it seems to have fixed the problem, for now.
