If the engine is too hot the computer will shut off the compressor to save the engine and AC compressor. Also the heat from the radiator could also shut down the compressor due to compressor head pressure getting too high.

A properly working cooling system is extermely important to the Ac system.
Thank you for providing more info, I will check the system for leaking and will get AC repair.
