AC Compressor Pully noise

(2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD)
in Salt Lake City, UT on January 03, 2010
A loud Sqeeling noise coming from the pully on the AC pump. When I push the AC button to turn it on from inside the cab, AC symbol blinks and goes off. Loud squeeling noise stays while engine is running. Can I replace the pully assembly or do i need to replace the whole pump?

Sounds like your A/C Compressor may be frozen. If that is the case, then you need a whole pump. Even if it is just the Clutch bearing, it is getting harder to just get the Clutch these days, but it isn't impossible. But first have some one determine if your Compressor has seized or not, and then go from there.

Napa has the clutch, but dand is right you need to make sure the compressor isn't frozen because the rebuilt compressor with clutch isn't much more than the clutch

I'm thinking the pully is sticking which cause the starter to drag and is making a lot of noise
