ABS module

(1999 Ford Crown Victoria)
Have a 97 Explorer been having problems with the "ABS" step on pedal & it "Kicks" back with a knocking noise, should usually do this when on "ice or snow" but does it on dry pavement..is it the module or something else? that's really all the info I can give I don't drive this vehicle all the time so I can't give specifics until you ask questions..if this sounds like the module where would it be located on this vehicle?

BiggTibbs, I am having the exact same problem with my 1999 Crown Vic. The brakes "kick back" at me about 60-75% of the time. Were you able to find the problem and repair it? My mechanic is at a total loss. I would greatly appreciate any insight you could provide if you have gotten your car fixed. Thanks.
