ABS lock up

(2006 Ford Fusion)
in Dallas, TX on October 27, 2009
Unfortunately I removed a line from the ABS pump when trying to install a new headlight into my Fusion. (big hands and tight spaces...) I did replace it. Now, when I have to slam on my brakes to the point the wheels lock up, they do and they stay locked up. My car will skid to a stop and only then will the wheels unlock.

You should have the brake fluid system bled after the system has been opened, which your was. The fluid should be replaced every 2 years, so it's a good idea to have the brake fluid flushed by a shop that has a power bleeder.
