Our automotive experts have put together the following information about the P267C diagnostic trouble code. We've provided the common symptoms that occur when this code is set along with the frequent repairs that address the issues related to the P267C code.

OBD II Fault Code

  • OBD II P267C

OBD-II Code Decreased engine performance is defined as a "B" Rocker Arm Actuator Position Sensor Circuit Low

Newer vehicles use variable valve technology to allow for greater airflow through the engine at higher RPMs. This allows for better performance over a wider range. Some manufacturers are moving to a variable valve lift system that allows the valve to open wider. Internal to the variable lift rocker arm assembly are position sensors so the engine computer (PCM) can monitor what the assembly is doing. If the sensor inside the assembly fails, code P267C is set.

    Decreased engine performance Symptoms
