  • OBD II P0855

    OBD-II Code Transmission Control Module (TCM) failure is defined as a Drive Switch Input Circuit High

    The Overdrive/Tow Switch allows the driver to tell the engine computer (PCM) if the vehicle is towing anything so that the transmission can perform accordingly. If the switch sends the PCM an implausible signal, code P0855 will be stored.

    Common Problems That Trigger the P0855 Code

    • Shift lever assembly failure
