OBD-II Code Tap shifting will be disabled is defined as a Upshift/Skip Shift Solenoid Control Circuit Range/Performance
Some vehicles equipped with automatic transmission will give the driver the option of selecting the desired gear while driving, known as TAP Shifting. The shifter will usually either have a + and - button on it, or shift side to side when in Drive. If the upshift switch does not function correctly, code P080B will set and the TAP Shift function will be disabled.
