90k mile service

(1997 Saab 900)
in Glendale, AZ on October 12, 2010
It has 88K miles and I got the service list for what needs to be done. I was thinking it needed a timing belt replaced @ 90K. I checked and I was told it was supposed to be done at 60K is this true? Is there another name the timing belt goes by?

Your 1997 Saab 900 has a timing chain and is lubed by your engine oil, So unless its noisy or is affecting performance no maintenance is needed. But you can look on the scheduled maintenance dropdown on the estimator here https://repairpal.com/estimator/saab/900
