2000 Toyota Tundra still does not run after changing mass flow sensor

(2000 Toyota Tundra)
in New Britain, CT on November 19, 2016
I had a code reading of P0100/P0110, which indicates replacing mass flow air sensor or clean, after doing so it still does not stay on it shuts off, all the air hoses In-N-Out in around are all tight nothing loose, unplugging the mass airflow sensor the truck will turn on and idle just fine but once I give it gas it turns off and once I plug back in the mass air flow sensor it turns off I change the mass airflow sensor twice in one day thinking that it might be defective

Since it is not likely you have gotten two defective parts in a row .. We need to look elsewhere! .. *REMOVE* the top to air cleaner and inspect the air filter for possible rodent damage 'OR' for any foreign material at all 'on the top side' of the air filter that may interfere with air flow across the MAF sensor... It only takes a very 'tiny speck' of trash to foul up new sensor readings! .. (A VERY *TINY SPECK* OF TRASH)!

Thank you for getting back to me I had checked the air filter changed cleaned the housing inspected for any rodents nesting and anything else

That's just something I have actually found - on one of these particular vehicles! .. Since MAF sensor can be replaced without removing anything else, it easy to overlook sensor contamination from debris in the air cleaner assembly.. Which would occur almost instantaneously upon engine start... Sensor 'circuit' testing is required.. Good luck!

Thank you for your question I will attempt to answer it the best way I can without actually looking at the vehicle your vehicle needs to be placed on a Scanner with data stream you will be looking to isolate the electrical current at the mass air flow sensor there is a possibility that you have a defective mass air flow sensor Those sensors are sometimes sold as remanufactured you said you had gotten a new mass air flow sensor I would return it tell him it is defective this will ensure that the mass airflow sensor you bought is good or not you are more than welcome to bring your car to my shop free no charge diagnostic my location is 10 Cranbrook Boulevard in Enfield telephone number 860-265-3630
