1999 f250 v10 how do i get the service light to go out after changing oil etc.

are you talking about the service engine soon light? if so you will need to take it to a shop and get it scanned and find out what code you have and go from there.

I DID NOT WANT TO HAVE TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP AND SPEND THE MONEY FOR A DIAGNOSIS. EVERY TIME THE OIL IS CHANGED THE OIL TECH. TURNS THE LIGHT OUT WITHOUT HOOKING THE TRUCK UP TO A COMPUTER. JUST THOUGHT ALL FORD TRUCKS WERE THE SAME. HAVE ASKED 3 AND ALL WANT ME TO PAY THEM TO TURN THE LIGHT OUT.
