Yesterday, replaced battery due to no cold cranking amps. Today, driving, cutoff on 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara

stopped at stop light this morning, twice, the car shut off as if i had turned it off the key. Started right back up but concerned. Only happened when came to a complete stop.

assuming everything was ok prior to this repair, it will need an idle relearn.

AWESOME! IT WAS, SO HOW IS THE IDLE RELEARN DONE? DO I NEED TO GO TO A MECHANIC FOR THIS?
yes. it has to be done through a scan tool.

Hmmm, if the battery was disconnected for a long time (more than an hour) yes. Fire up the vehicle, let it warm, then drive the crap out of it! You will have it die at lights/stops. After a few, it will re-learn everything. Same issue on 2007 SX-4 and 2001 and 2002 Vitara.
