1991 GMC Vandura 2500 Question: y is there a loud noise on decel after replacing r&p

Rookie

Hello everyone im new here but need help.i replaced ring and pinioin bearings, worm gears and side bearings, had to replace drive shaft had aluminum now has steel, i replaced because of chipped pinion shaft teeth and bearing,now i have a lound whining noise on deceleration was not there before can some one tell me where i went wrong. or some suggestions. please

The gear mesh between the ring and pinion gear is wrong. Let someplace that does this kind of work adjust them.

could also be the torque on the pinion nut. make sure that the torque is correct and by the way, did you use a new crush collar or use the old one??
