1998 Ford Escort Q&A
1998 Ford Escort Question: won't stay started
It sounds as if you have either an air flow issue, or a fuel supply issue. You could have too much unmetered air getting into the intake, which can stall you out. Look for a cracked or disconnected air hose or air filter box. Or, look for a disconnected or broken vacuum hose. Beyond that, you will need to get a test, focusing on those items and base fuel pressure and bleed down. Best of luck! - DaveJHM
