Mine was doing that, I sprayed electronic contact cleaner in the key on ignition. Working key in and out. And before you start it tilt the steering wheel all the way down then turn the key on. The light should stay on solid for 2 seconds then go off. Before you start it. Hope this helps.

just had this problem, alarm went off by itself, hit key fob, then car turned over but wouldnt start. found out that when turning key to on it flashed like a strobe. i had to get the keys recoded at the dealer!! tok 10 mins to do after a tow...no codees.....and pump is disconnected during this phase .part of the alarm and you cant do it yourself! thought i was in the clear until alarm went off by itself tonight a week later...odd thing is i will disconnevt the trunk lock but i want to throw in a variable..my son put in high density lights before the problem andi dont see a hood light or a switch for it in my 98...gluck on your airbag it seems they usualy go bad on drivers side first...probly cuz there is always someone in that side to drive and it gets the most work..either way i been there more than once for air shock probs ....look up suncore on the web, i bought there air shocks less than a cnote for 1 and fairly easy to put in. you dont have to do both
