2004 Mazda RX-8 Question: wont start in extreme cold

 Rookie

purchased used mazda rx8 for son. twice this winter when there is extreme cold car wont start. dealer towed car in put it on diagnostic could not find a problem. recomended we dont use regular gas and do not let the gas gauge go below 1/4 tank. we are now putting premium in this weekend withe the extreme cold car wont start again.

    The best thing you can do is plan on leaving the car at the repair faciltiy overnight, outside, when its very cold, so they can diagnose the no start problem. When you have difficult no-start issues such as these, you literally have to catch the car 'in the act' to find out whats causing the problem.
