If someone tried to steal your car, they may have damaged the ignition lock cylinder and ignition switch. I would make darn sure that this stuff works properly and is sending the correct voltage signals to all the necessary components, when the key is on and when you move it to the start position. I have seen even normal wear and tear on an ignition lock cylinder and ignition switch cause 'no-start' problems, dying problems, performance problems etc.

My Pontiac Grand Am did the same thing. I went to start it and nothing. Check to see if the security light is flashing. If it is then you will have to reset it. Turn the key to the on position in your car and wait 10 minutes or until the light stops flashing. Turn the key to off and then start the car. If this doesn't work then do the same thing but have the key in the ACC position. Once the security light stops flashing then the car will start. Good luck. In the ACC position it may take 15 minutes instead of 10.
