2005 Toyota 4Runner Question: Won't start after being rebuilt

Just rebuilt the engine in the vehicle,and now the code reader is showing P0102 which is Mass Air Flow Sensor.
My question is.... Will a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor cause this vehicle not to start? This is the only code coming up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Yes a bad mass air flow sensor would cause your car not to start and if it does start it will run sluggish. You can tey spraying the mass air flow sensor with a cleaner that will leave no residue. I'm not exacly shure what to use but it's a cheaper statr to your diagnosis.
