wont start on 1996 Cadillac DeVille

when i try to start the car the dic says starting system disabled due to theft system remove ignition key.its not saying wait 3 minutes... checked starter fuses and relays cleaned key and ignition terminal checked wiring

the one wiring you cannot check is the lock cylinder wires inside the column. common to break and cause this. have it checked for replacement. Roy

my 96 caddy was doing the same thing i took it to a alarm shop and had the factory alarm disabled
