@@@@@@@@@@@@@HELP HELP @@@@@@@@@@@ I HAVE A 2001 IMPALA AND THE SERCITY SYSTEM IS GOT IT SO IT WILL NOT SIART AND YES I HAVE GOT A SCAN TOOL BUT ITS NOT GIVEING ME NO CODES SO PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO THE RADIO IS SHOWING CAL ERR

    You need a special machine to program your key to the car, the same machine will determined if you need any other components installed only a few shops do this maybe a big locksmith that deals with cars or the dealer for Chevy

    don't know what you did to cause the theft system to shut down the ignition, but only the Vetronix Tech 2 scanner can get into the theft-security system and read/clear codes. Unless you can find a mobile mechanic with this scanner it may be time to tow it to the dealer. As for the radio, do a search on eBay/car electronics for radio codes. There's listings from places that will sell you the codes. Also, in the tools section there's listings to purchase a by-pass for GM pass-key systems, so you don't have this starting problem in the future.
