1993 Mercury Capri Q&A
1993 Mercury Capri Question: wont start
The fuel pump cut off switch in the trunk cannot in any way influence whether or not the engine cranks. If it's a no crank situation - the battery needs to be checked first for charge and capacity. Then, the starter should be checked to see if it is drawing too much current to start. If it has just been cranking and cranking and now the battery is run down - charge it first. Then, you will need to check for fuel pressure and spark. One will not be present - then you can proceed down a diagnostic path with one of those areas. - DaveJHM
