My car will not even crank. I just put in a new alternator and battery. Everything worked fine before this except my charge battery light would come on and the battery would drain. i was told this was a bad alternator so i rplaced them both just in case. Now i put the key in and the power comes on but will not crank when i turn the key. i hear a clicking noise under my dash. when i remove the key fom ignition the parking lights and all interior lights flash about 5 to 10 times. Help.

If everything worked before replacing the battery and alternator, that's the place to start. If the starter just clicks, that would indicate a poor connection at the battery. Remove the battery cables, clean the terminals with a wire brush, baking soda and hot water. Then reattach and try it again. On GM battery cable ends, you must peel back the rubber insulation covering the metal part of the cable end to clean.
