Tried to jump it - but it didn't work. Radio works and some of the lights and gauges will come on. Was told to check fuses. Would much rather it be a fuse problem than an alternator or starter. Any advice??

automan100 November 30, 2010, 08:17ReplyRookiesounds like starter is shorting out my suggestion is tap on starter to see if it starts you should have someone turn key to start while you tap on sterter if it starts needs replacing if not it could be bound up inside sounds like starter to me.

Mastertry another key as well. when the keys wear, the security chip could cause issues.
