2004 Chevrolet Cavalier Question: wont start

my car drove fine then timing chain went out I installed a new timing chain kit and the car cranks over but wont start no codes come up i dont know what it could be help

    Are you sure you aligned the timing marks on TDC of the compression stroke, they may be aligned at the top of the exhaust stroke. It is an easy mistake to make since the crank turns twice to the cams once the marks will line up at both times.

    we tripled checked and im sure its timed right what else could it be

    I have the same exact problem, just replaced a broken timing chain, and now the 97 Cav wont start, I also checked the timing alignment and it is good. Is there a reset somewhere that throws when the timing chain breaks

    did you make sure that the timing was set to the specifications of your owners manuel? try that and see where it takes you
