Question: Wont start

 Rookie

I replaced the crankshaft dampener pulley and now the car wont start. It acts like it jumped time but what does the balancer have to do with the timing?

    I believe the crank position sensor is down at the crankshaft pulley , make sure the harness there is OK and or perhaps the sensor itself got damaged. Hyundai as a car manufacturer put a lot of free technical information and workshop manuals on line for Hyundai owners. Check out www.hmaservice.com lots of great information.     So am i correct that it really has nothing to do with the timing? How could that have gotten damaged?
