Question: wont shift to park

 Rookie

i cannot shift my truck into park. a coworker said something about a nuetral sensor. what do you think.

  You need to see if it is in park. Is the dash cluster reading wrong? Park on a slight hill. Try to put into park. If it rolls you know its not in. Next see it the shift cable is working free underneath, have a second person work the shifter. There also might shfit lock problem in the steering column. The acutator could be in the way. Try this first.
