2000 Honda Passport Question: Won't shift & stay in over drive

Question

Started in July right after I had the seals replaced. Have replaced the throttle positioning switch, solenoid inside tranmission, cleaned switch on bottom of transmission.

Sometimes it will shift really hard, then after that it will go into over drive and stay. Most of the time it just pops into over drive and then right out again causing high RPM's and oil usage.

Have put it on scope at Honda Dealer and no transmission codes presented.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

How does the transmission fluid look? Does it look burned? There isn't too much electronic diagnostics on that transmission compared to the complexity of some more modern transmissions. The transmission is most likely the problem. The transmission has a removable transmission pan that might be worth removing to see if there is debris in the pan.
