its manual... also!!! it won't start... it sounds like it wants to but it doesn't catch... battery is good and alternator is good... you can push start it with no problem.... i'm thinking its the starter... any thoughts?? - mnatal79
It's best to get the battery, charging and starting system checked to see if the issue is with the starter, battery cables or ignition switch circuit. As for the shifting, you'll want to have the shifter and linkage checked for proper adjustment otherwise it may be an internal issue in the transmission.

You'll want to check the linkage to make sure it's not out of adjustment. I suggest you get a good repair manual, it should describe how to check and adjust the linkage.
