Then checked the wheel and saw marks of the inside off the rim What could be the cause? Brakes are ok. Could it be wheel Alignment ? It is probably causing the car to drift to the left Tires look ok to the eye .Thanks for any help you may provide on this issue

Its hard to comment without seeing the marks first hand. Are the wheels stock, or aftermarket alloy rims? Clean both surfaces paint with any household paint, drive the car a short distance gently braking and weaving side to side, remove the wheel and look for contact. Has the wheel bearing excess play?
