the wipers on my 2006 325i turn on by themselves

  They have rain sensor which turn the wipers on when rain (water on the windshield) is detected. If the system malfunctions it could turn on at dry conditions.
  You need to find a BMW specialty shop with the correct diagnostic tool to check the system.
