I have a '93 Corolla, 1.6 ltr 4 cyl 4AFE engine. I may need to replace the windshield wiper motor. I would appreciate some detailed instructions on how to do this.

The wiper motor is quite easy to replace. First check the 20Amp fuse that brings power to the wiper motor switch and then powers the motor. Open the hood and at the rear of the engine compartment you will see the wiper motor it is secured to the firewall with three bolts (10mm) ,remove the electrical connector, remove the three bolts remove the wiper linkage from the "old motor" reattach to the new motor and reassemble. It should easily be done in 45 minutes.

My whindshield wipers come on my 1981 cadillac when ever they feel to so they go on and off. when they do that I cent get them to stop. Finally I took out the fuse, The part I took out (as dessribed to me by a mechanic) up by the fire wall. It has 4 screws the unit does come aopart. It aler has 3 I am thinking that this is not the moter. Pleaseattached parts that stick out that the hoses would attache to. I do realize this could me wiring.Please tell me it is soI won't go nuts, I hoave looked o nthe computer and have found no pictures that describew what I am trying to expain. Thank you Tonja
