This could be a problem with the electrical switch, the door window motor, or the door window regulator. Door window regulators are the most common component on power windows to fail.

thanks is this something i can fix?

Door window regulators are tricky parts and the motors are commonly riveted in, so it's probably best to get some professional help. The hours you spend trying to fix it it are probably worth more to you than the cash it'll take to get fixed.

I had the same problem...the dealer was NO help...I finally took it to an auto glass shop. The bolts that held the motor had worked loose. They had it fixed in 15 minutes....$20....

i am having the same problem with a 2003 sequoia driver door. I also notices the same bolts have loosened and tighten them down before i read your comments. However, it did not solve the problem. any other suggestions? window goes up stops and then drops.
