Question: will the timing chain damage heads and valves when it breaks?

van will not start, cranks but will not start.

    Sounds like the timing belt broke and since this is an interference engine the valves hit the pistons, Maybe have the heads pulled to see if the valves are just bent and hopefully it didn't damage the pistons, A good shop can install new valves and rebuild the head if the damage isn't too bad
