Question: will replacing the drivers outer tire rod and realigning the tires fix vibrating

car vibrates from around 55mph and up on highway driving. just having the drivers side outer rod replaced and they are doing alignment, rotating and balancing. should that take care of the problem

    Vibrations at highway speeds are typically cause by out of balance or damaged tires. A good repair facility can distinguish the difference of a failed tire and one that needs balancing.

    The balancing of wheels will solve your problem...so since that is being done, yes, the problem should be taken care of.
