will punched out converters cause p0171/174 engine codes? on 1997 GMC 1500 Pickup

maf,tp,egr,iac,evap,all good. already changed fuel pump,regulator and fuel filter all are good + did the upper plentum.engine prof. rebuild has aprox 10k on it. Did injector bal. test there does not seem to be any problems there. converters were pulged so i reamed them out.spits & sputters on start up {even warm start up} & on hard acceleration.

the codes refer to long term percentage to high. it comes from vacuum leak, maf out of range and low fuel pressure. all these need to be checked for the failure. you said all those sensors were good?? how did you verify that?? the simple answer to your question is no, gutted cats will not cause this code. verified with my snap on scanner, that all sensors working properly. also checked for lower intake leak [none]and did the upper plentum just to make sure it wasn't a problem.
