will not start on 2004 GMC Savana 3500

battery is good headlights come on strong, dome lights strong, etc. turn ignition key = slight click but no start. no previous indication a of bad starter

Takes a lot more juice to crank engine than to turn on lights. Battery still may be suspect, battery connections or battery charge related to alternator problems. Could also have problems with the starter if battery/connections is in fact good.

your alternator is gone ,draws from battery until it dies not to bad to change
