2001 Oldsmobile Alero

Question: will not go forward in drive, but it will in reverse

Wife was driving back from Tulsa and when she went to stop the car just stopped. It would not go forward in drive and when you put it in neutral it still will not go forward. But you can go in reverst.

    you have an internal issue with the front clutch. the trans will have to come out and overhauled.
    take it to a trans shop or call around for a bid.
