2005 Chrysler Town & Country Question: Will a dead fuel pump throw a service code

Question

Visitor, Kansas City, MO, January 06, 2011, 19:16

My T&C stalled and won't start. Engine turns over but won't run. No codes, I own an OBDII scanner. Could it be the fuel pump or would it throw a code?

some throw codes for the fuel pump circuit voltage. not all units support it.
remember, a code is a direction to the system failure, it does not identify a failed part. that is why you pay for a diag to determine the failure.

NOT ALWAYS WILL IT SEND A CODE ONLY IF A LEAN CONDITION CODE MIGHT COME UP I KNOW CHRYSLER PRODUCTS ARE NOTORIOUS FOR FUEL PUMP ISSUES TRY BANGING ON THE TANK WITH A RUBBER HAMMER WHILE SOMEONE ELSE TURNS THE ENGINE OVER TRYING TO START THE VEHICLE IF IT STARTS THE PUMP NEEDS REPLACING ITS FAILING GOOD LUCK GOODWRENCH MR.
