Wierd noise on 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse

when i start my car it starts making a really bad noise but then when i push in the clutch it stops. Any ideas thx? I think its comming from one of the belts anyway anything will help thx.

If the noise stops when you push in the clutch, it sounds to me that you may have a flywheel problem (may be dual mass flywheel...?), or pressure plate / throwout bearing related. Any way you look at it, the transmission will have to be accessed.

if u have a manual transmission check the release bearing f u pres ur cluch pedal u will hear whissing sound means ur release bearing has no grease n soon beak down
