Question: Why would car restart after sensors came on, but when moved into gear,shut off?

I'd just had my car in for an oil change and basic tune-up a week ago and then my oil light came on, and then my check engine light came on. My engine started to make this funny noise right before my car stalled. I let it sit for a while, then tried restarting it. It started, but would cut off when moved into gear.

    THERE COULD BE SEVERAL REASONS FOR THIS, I REC YOU RETURN AND HAVE THE RECHECK THERE WORK.POSSIBLY JUST LEFT SOMETHING UNPLUGGED

    I had them check the car out and they told me that the oil pump went bad. It just seems odd that would happen one week after my oil change and tune-up. Is that possible, or am I looking at a cover-up?

    how many miles on car and have you done every routine maint like oil change every 3k
