Only does it in park and stopped at light. Doesn't matter if AC on or off, but cooling fan seems to be kicking on a lot in park

DOES THIS HAPPEN WITH A/C ON? IF SO POSS LOW FREON LEVEL. THE A/C CONTROLS FAN OPERATION TO A POINT,IF COMPRESSOR IS CYCLING ON AND OFF YOU WILL SEE AN IDLE CHANGE.

I am not sure, I am going to check to see if it only happens when AC is on, but I don't think so. I'm also going to see if it happens in R and while in Neutral. I know it happens now in Drive (when stopped at lights) and in Park when engine is idling.

Checked, and it does only do it when AC is on, seems smoother when off. Nothing earth shattering, just a little throaty and vibrates a little when AC is on

Also, compressor does seem to be kicking on and off a lot.

Only does it in 'park' or in gear while at a stoplight? Idle rough or vibrate the car?

I just checked it out (sorry the car is new to me) and it really only does it when the AC is on. It just seems a little throaty when stopped at a light or in park, and does seem to vibrate a slight bit, but it smoothes out if you turn off the AC. As far as running on the road, runs fine. No engine light either

Have you ever owned a vehicle with a four cylinder engine?
