Question: Why won't the car start in cold weather?

Rookie

The car was running fine and then the temperatures went below 30 degrees over night and now in the morning it won't start. The engine sounds like it wants to start but won't turn over. What is the cause of this and how do we fix it?

you said it wont turn over if the engine wants to start then it has to be turning over.we need more info to diagnose problem

It sounds like it wants to start but all it does is revrevrev. I am not sure how to describe it. Basically I turn the key, the engine sounds like it wants to start but never actually starts. I have tried pumping the acceleterator and even holding the excelerator down, but thre is no start it just revs like it wants to start.

could be several issues incl fuel pressure or many other issues
