why wont my van start after over heating and dying? on 2005 Kia Sedona

my van over heated on the interstate. before I could get off it died. had it towed home. started it. let it run. added water. found it leaking from probably the water pump. let the water run out and shut it off before it could overheat again. next day it wouldn't start. I have gotten it to start again but had to keep giving it gas. cant get it to start again

possible sensor safety. sensor for coolant could be responding to pressure loss. you know there is a prob. with the pump already, best to start there. extreme over heat of engine could have thrown off other sensors. should get diagnostic run to see if any other issues you should be aware of.
