why wonnt my 3.3 grand voyager wont crank on 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager

engin shut off after i put 12v to temperatur sensor

I think the temp sensor works on 5volt and the computers are sensitive to voltage surge. I just got a computer tested and repaired whee a customer did something similar on a Dodge Durango, it damaged the ECU/PCM.
